Sorry for taking so long to update. Things have been pretty crazy. Anywho, in case I didn't mention it before...I'M IN GRAD SCHOOL! I was accepted by the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, which is where I am now. Never been to California, so it's a new experience all around.
I've started two out of three classes this week already. One is a figure drawing class, called sustained figurative concepts, and the other is a still life drawing class, though the basis of it is drawing something based on their lights and darks with charcoal. It's called chiaroscuro. My third class, drawing from imagination, starts this coming Monday.
So far so good. I have some homework from both classes. I have to keep a sketchbook and practice figure drawing throughout the semester for one of them, so whenever I post an update I'll include works from there. In the mean time, here are some works from my figure drawing class. I hope to improve a lot this semester. My favorites though are the quick sketches (the 1st one) and the 40 minute pose (the 4th one). Which one(s) is your favorite?
Beautiful, honestly
